There are available grants for Loudoun County Employees to buy homes within the county.
Quick requirements for these grants:
-Employed with Loudoun County (20+ hours/week).
-Household income of $32,200 to $75,100.
-First time BUYER or have not been living in Loudoun for previous 12 months.
Grants are a minimum of $5,000, and up to $25,000 under special circumstances. These grants are loans that are forgivable at a rate of 20% per year for five years. In other words, if you receive a grant of any size and you stay employed with Loudoun and continue to live in that residence for 5 years, you do not need to ever pay it back. If you receive $15,000, and change employers or move after 3 years, you would have to repay $6,000 of the grant.
