The Wake of Superstorm Sandy (Contractors You Might Need)

Hopefully your family and properties fared as well through Superstorm Sandy (“Frankenstorm”) as we did.  Our power flickered, but we never lost it for more than a second, the winds were howling for sure, and we definitely got a lot of rain, but all and all, it was just a bad storm here.  I haven’t left my house yet, so we’ll see what I find when I do.  I may need to revise that.  But as for me and mine, we’re doing just fine.  As for others, well here are some recommendations for contractors you might need in the wake of Super Storm Sandy.

HVAC: Should the power outages have wreaked havoc with your heat system, I recommend you call Sonny Swan at Climatic Heating and Air.  Ph: 540-687-4674  Email: [email protected]

Flooding: If you have water in your house, get it out, get it out quick.  Kevin Gilboy of Steamatic of Northern Virginia specializes in storm restoration.  Ph: 540-751-4266 Email: [email protected]

New Carpet/Flooring:  If you’re going to need new floors because of flooding, call Craig T Lee of Loudoun Valley Flooring.  540-336-6448 [email protected]

Roof: Missing Shingles or a leaky roof?  Call Andy at Columbia Roofing.  Ph: 202-374-6759

Handyman Services: Minor or major, Jason at Square One Home Improvements can help you out.  703-593-8111 [email protected]

These are people I know and use and recommend often.  Be sure to tell them you called upon my recommendation, and they will make sure you get primo service.
