Specialties: Marc can handle almost any type of loan, but specializes in loans for home purchases. He is incredibly familiar with VA (Veterans Affairs) financing and the needs and attributes of military borrowers. He can provide VA loans of up to $1.5m and VHDA financing as well as “80/10/10″ loan combinations.
First Home Mortgage does not offer: lot loans, construction loans and they confess that their HELOC’s are just average.
About Marc:
If you’re looking for a lender that not only understands the insides of his business, but for someone who understands what YOU – the buyer – are going through, Marc’s your guy. Marc says ” Home buying can be stressful and intimidating. Proactive communication that keeps the customer one step ahead of the process is our hallmark.”
Marc’s team will pay attention to the details so you don’t have to… but rest assured, if you’re a detail person, they’re happy to make sure you get every question answered. Customers like engineers, attorneys and CPAs – the detail types – they seem to give Marc’s team the highest marks, commenting that they always felt like the loan process is under control.
When I asked Marc “What can you do that that someone else can not?” He replied: ” Fly an airplane. Of course, I can also close a purchase loan in 9 calendar days.” Those are both something to brag about.
Marc’s team also provides you with a guarantee: “On time closing or your lender fee is waived.” That’s putting your money where your mouth is! Oh… and not only that, but if you happen to find a better rate for the same loan through another lender, Marc will match rates.
Vicky’s 2 cents: I have known Marc for some time now. He is personable, and knows his business. He’s quick to tell you what he can and can’t do and I know you can trust what Marc says. I also remain grateful to him for a favor he did some time ago. I was working with a purchaser who was going through the same bank Marc (then) worked for… but the loan officer they’d chosen left more than a little to be desired. Even though Marc was not going to make a dime on it, he worked hard to find solutions when there were issues on that loan. If it were not for Marc’s efforts, my customers likely would not have been able to make the purchase they did. Why did he do it? Because Marc is that kind of guy – he puts customers first.

August 2012 Marc saves the day again. I have a transaction I am working with and I was told that the condo association did not meet FHA guidelines due to the delinquency. It turns out, it did… the lender we were working with (who is normally very great), had a very slight misunderstanding of the rules. It wouldn’t usually make a difference but in this case it did. The difference? Up to 15% of the units can be delinquent on association dues and still be approved by FHA. The “other” lender thought it had to be less than 15%. As Murphy’s Law dictates, in this case, we were AT EXACTLY 15% so it was the difference between my clients getting the condo or not. Thanks to Marc, they are.
What sets Marc apart? Extreme attention to detail & years of experience result in a really in depth knowledge level. That, plus, the willingness to be of service. What more could you want?
Thanks Marc.
