Potomac Station is a community of 1401 homes, both single-family and townhomes. This Leesburg neighborhood was developed around 1997.
Where River Creek Parkway divides the neighborhood, the homes to the east are in Loudoun County and the homes to the west are in the Town of Leesburg. (A quick tip: If the number of digits in the house number is less than 5, the home is located inside town limits.)
HOA membership includes, among other amenities, access to the outdoor pool, tennis courts, tot lots, and well-maintained walking trails throughout the neighborhood, one of which meanders down to and along Goose Creek. The community hosts annual events such as an egg hunt, breakfast with Santa, movie night, community yard sales, and a swim team.
There is an abundance of shopping, dining, and services at the nearby Village at Leesburg, and Marketplace at Potomac Station, as well as several other area shopping centers. A modern 12-screen theater is just across Route 7 in the Village at Leesburg, and all of that is connected via a pedestrian footpath at River Creek Parkway. The Leesburg Corner Premium Outlets is a shopping destination for many, and it is within walking distance for the residents of Potomac Station.
Potomac Station is home to a little bit of history, with two Civil War battery points on the acreage, and the remains of an old stone tavern dating back to 1822 on the edge of the property.
Baseball fans will be delighted to have Good Times Park nearby, a complex of three lit fields which hosts Little Leaguers from across the area.
