Potomac Crossing is a community of 926 homes, both single-family and town homes. This Leesburg neighborhood was developed around 1988.
HOA membership includes, among other amenities, access to the outdoor pool, basketball court, tot lots, and well-maintained walking trails throughout the neighborhood. The community hosts annual events such as an egg hunt, summer movie nights, and community yard sales. During summer months, the community pool is home to the Barracudas, a team made up of kids from both Potomac Crossing and the neighboring Edwards Landing community.
Potomac Crossing is home to a little bit of history, as it is home to the first Civil War engagement to take place in Loudoun County. Ball’s Bluff Battlefield Regional Park, a park dedicated to preserving this historical site, is located at the edge of the Potomac Crossing community, and residents can walk through the park and overlook the Potomac River. Ball’s Bluff National Cemetery is located within the park as well.
A Town of Leesburg park is planned beside the community. Promised to the neighbors since 1986, Potomac Crossing Park will finally break ground in 2014 on 8.3 acres adjacent to Potomac Crossing neighborhood. 2.5 of those acres will be developed to include a playground, picnic shelter, open play area, and a parking lot.
Potomac Crossing is located at the intersection of Route 15 and Battlefield Parkway, giving residents easy access to cross Leesburg in any direction.
