Leesburg Crossing

Leesburg Crossing is a community of single-family homes located north of the Town of Leesburg, west of Route 15.  The HOA was formally dissolved, so there are NO HOA fees. The roads are state maintained, and there are no common areas for the community to have to maintain. There is a handshake agreement among neighbors that they will all pitch in to help cover the cost of replanting around the monument sign on an as needed basis, and so far there has not been a need. The monument sign is actually on private property.

Close to the Virginia/Maryland state line, Leesburg Crossing is an easy drive to/from the Point of Rocks MARC station, expanding the commuting options for residents of this community.  White’s Ferry, another commuter alternative for this neighborhood, crosses the Potomac only three miles away.

Recreation options abound in the surrounding area. Morven Park is nearby, with its equestrian event center, new hiking trails,  historical tours, and more. Ida Lee Park, Rec Center, A.V. Symington pool, and the Rust library are all reasonably close to Leesburg Crossing. In the other direction, the hamlet of Lucketts and its community center is a hub of activity, including a preschool, the Lucketts Fair, and regular bluegrass performances. Several notable wineries are within a few miles of Leesburg Crossing, including Tarara and its summer concert series and Fabbioli Cellars with its outdoor seating area.  Directly across Route 15 is the Temple Hall Farm Regional Farm Park, home to the annual Corn Maize and other agricultural fun. The C&O Canal National Historic Park, a popular hiking and cycling path, is just ten miles from the neighborhood, and the access point there also has a public boat launch on the Potomac River. Antique and vintage shoppers will love Leesburg Crossing’s proximity to the Old Lucketts Store and a few other nearby shops.

The conveniences of Leesburg, including shopping and services, are a short drive away via Route 15 south. Locavores will be delighted that Route 15 north of the neighborhood is dotted with farmstands.  Frederick, MD is an alternate nearby destination for shopping and services.
