Lansdowne on the Potomac

Lansdowne on the Potomac is one of Leesburg’s premier planned residential communities. This community is located just west of Ashburn and along the Potomac River, and offers a mix of 2,155 detached and attached single-family homes. One of three separate HOAs in the area commonly known as Lansdowne, Lansdowne on the Potomac is a resort-style community offering unique amenities.

The centerpiece of the HOA is the Potomac Club. The club complex features indoor and outdoor pools, whirlpool, amphitheater, game room, fitness room, playground, and a sand volleyball court. Elsewhere in the community are tennis courts, playing fields, and hiking trails.  Annual community events include a beer festival, summer concert series, and a turkey trot. The outdoor pool is a venue for a summer swim team called the Lansdowne Lightning.

Goose Creek flows into the Potomac River at the edge of Lansdowne, where the public can hike, fish, or launch a kayak from Kephart Bridge Landing. Elizabeth Mills Riverfront Park is a linear footpath along the water’s edge here. Golfers will enjoy the Golf Club adjacent to the community.

Shopping, services, and other recreation abound at the nearby Lansdowne Resort and Lansdowne Town Center. The town center sponsors a free summer Friday Movies and Music series. Have peace of mind knowing that Inova Loudoun Hospital is just down the street. Of course Lansdowne on the Potomac is located in the community of Leesburg and is accessible to all of the dining and shopping in downtown Leesburg as well as the greater area’s parks and recreational events.
