Foxridge
Foxridge is a community of 208 single-family homes situated in small clusters and connected by cul-de-sacs and walking paths and shaded by mature trees. (insert photo here) Built in the late 1980’s, the houses and lots are of a modest size. The neighborhood could be described as single-family homes at townhome prices.
Foxridge is located next to Loudoun County High School and is bordered by the W&OD Trail, Route 7, and Catoctin Circle SW. Foxridge Park and Monroe Technology Center are also adjacent to the neighborhood.
The HOA amenities include a pool, tennis courts, and tot lots; and there is a neighborhood social events committee. A little bit of trivia: Kristen Umstattd, the Mayor of the Town of Leesburg, is a long time resident of the Foxridge neighborhood.
Houses are modestly sized; with models ranging from 1,152 to 2,652 square feet. They have two to four bedrooms. Many homes feature a basement. Garages hold one or two cars. While all homes have driveways, the space for parking in the driveway varies, as most homes are on a small (HOA maintained) pipestem driveway, usually shared with about four houses. One might describe the interior floor plans as a mix between a traditional and contemporary design. Most homes have dramatic vaulted ceilings in part of the home, many feature lofts that overlook the formal living area. Lot sizes are one tenth to one fifth of an acre. Those homes with lots backing to parkland are among the most sought after.
Public transportation is less than a mile from most homes and it is an easy walk or bike ride to Foxridge Park, Rust Nature Sanctuary, Morven Park, Ida Lee Recreation Center, Rust Library, AV Symington Aquatic Center, the W&OD Trail and downtown Historic Leesburg.
