Edwards Landing

Edwards Landing is a community of luxury single family homes and luxury garage townhomes in NE Leesburg. HOA membership includes, among other amenities, access to the outdoor pool, tennis courts, tot lots, and well-maintained walking trails throughout the neighborhood. The community hosts annual events such as an egg hunt, summer movie nights, and community yard sales. During summer months, a neighboring pool is home to the Barracudas, a team made up of kids from both Edwards Landing and the neighboring Potomac Crossing community.

Edwards Landing is home to a little bit of history, with a Civil War artillery embankment on the property. From the HOA website:

Today, at Edwards Landing, an artillery embankment is recognized as the position from which Confederate gunners held off a federal procession that was attempting to move up Edwards Ferry Road to Balls Bluff to aid their struggling troops during the 1861 battle. The Confederate defense succeeded in holding off the procession and contributed to the definitive Southern victory.

Ball’s Bluff Battlefield Regional Park, a park dedicated to preserving this historical site, is located behind the Edwards Landing community, and wooded land is all that separates the homes here from the Potomac River. Also in the neighborhood is Edwards Landing Park, a Town park with a shelter and picnic tables and with trail access to the Potomac Heritage Trail.

Edwards Landing is located off of Battlefield Parkway and Edwards Ferry Road, and close to an abundance of shopping and services at Battlefield Shopping Center, Costco Plaza, and more.
